Being a Cartagena is synonymous with loving and feeling music in our blood. The Colombian Caribbean is characterized by joy and happiness in listening to the salsa rhythms that enchant our neighborhoods.

In this experience we will learn the history of salsa music, the influence of Puerto Rico in our musical orientation, the origins of this genre and the way we enjoy it. Then, with our local dancer we will learn the basic steps to enjoy a night dancing salsa like a real Cartagenero. Participating in this experience will lead to an extremely pleasurable night. We will visit 4 local bars where we will learn about the national rum and taste the best Colombian beer. In each of these bars we will meet people who will immerse us in the true Cartagena musical culture.

We will also learn from the stories of each of these sites, which have become icons for salsa-loving Cartagena people. Through this experience we will see how locals enjoy Cartagenera’s salsa nights.
